Mob Rule
Have we now got to the point where mobs (however well-informed most of them really are) decide which historical figures are allowed to be commemorated by statues, road and building names, etc, and which should now be obliterated? If that is the case, where will it end? Gawd help this nation now unless the government gets a seriously strong grip

Personally, although I wasn't there, I don't think it was a minority that started the violence. It is Mob hysterics, which unfortunately is seen a lot all over the world in countries predominantly Black, so its nothing to do with racism, its how these people react to something they don't like. If this sounds racist well its not. A middle class person might right a letter to the Times, a miner may go on a march - its just how different classes and creeds of people are hard wired to behave. If this happens again, the authorities should take stiffer measures such as water cannons and even plastic bullets -they did that in Northern Ireland, but of course that was different times and the protestors were not BAME.
