Have we now got to the point where mobs (however well-informed most of them really are) decide which historical figures are allowed to be commemorated by statues, road and building names, etc, and which should now be obliterated? Stupid evil remark. I have suffered and fought cancer with the help of a very dedicated team at the Royal Marsden Hospital. I saw more than enough bewildered little mites wondering where their hair had gone and why they were bald and walking round with Hickman lines in their shoulders and tubes in their noses. I survived and would gladly swapped places with them. I have had a good life and theirs had barely started. Your comment is beneath contempt and typically low from you.

I have never thought statues of any human are a good idea. Everyone is flawed somehow.

As an English speaker for many many years, I can assure folk "only" is exactly what is implied. Otherwise the colour part wouldn't be mentioned. It's an exclusive statement. This group matters, not the rest who we don't care about. Folk who thought it up would have been adult enough to know full well what they were stating and purposely chose to use it.

In our local childrens hospital , a drunk medical student 'took/borrowed' the little baby Jesus from the crib on main corridor and didnt return it until the students regrouped on Jan 2nd.
