Well obviously you are wrong. I am aware of the date and I recall PC Norwell Gums joining his division to great fanfare from the press. I had a colleague on my relief called Jacko in the mid 70s from Trinidad. My wife actually WAS a nurse who trained and worked at St Mary's Paddington and one of her friends was a young daughter's daughter from Jamaica in the same Set.She continued her on ward training at Mary's W.9. but you would never of bumped into her would you?
