Thanks, naomi. Weird speech. It seems to start in the middle, and doesn't make a lot of sense. Load of carp, really. I agree it doesn't look like his comments have been taken out of context, except that his comment was:

There's nothing wrong with "invest in black-owned businesses", it doesn't say only invest in black-owned businesses.
There looks to be a lot wrong with "Show them where it hurts, abstain from spending your money in their shops and economies". But it's not clear from the rest of the speech who "them" and "their" refers to. Is it white people? Or is it racists? It's a very poor speech. If Joshua claims he's being misunderstood then on balance he's probably telling the truth. He knew the speech was being filmed, so why would he say something he was then going to refute?
