It stinks -- at best it's unethical and even that ought to be a resignation offence. As it is, the new Government has burned through all the political goodwill it will have earned in 2019 in the space of six months. In the grand scheme of things this barely registers but then that's half the point. Why is Jenrick's position worth more to him than the reputation of the party?
the photo at the top of this article showing the hoarding at the Westferry site has got lots of media coverage

and was even shown on the BBC breakfast news, complete with its, umm, questionable graffito.
I wonder who sanctioned that for broadcast at 9AM? maybe the chief editor is off with COVID and the juniors are just letting rip...

Indeed. But it isn't only people like me who think so:

Jim, this government has faced and is still facing an unprecedented situation. No government since the last war has had a task more daunting than theirs. Do you really think it’s fair to say what you’ve said - that it has burned through ALL the political goodwill it will have earned in 2019 in the space of six months? Really?
They haven't burned through my goodwill.
They haven't burned through my goodwill.
It is unprecedented indeed, and earlier on in the crisis I was making allowances for that. But all else that has gone on includes, but isn't limited to, the decision to stick with Jenrick and Cummings in the face of public and political outrage; the Rashford U-turn (coupled with a strange lie from Johnson that the day he U-turned was the first he'd heard of it); and, yes, a death toll and economic toll from Covid-19 that looks to be worse on most measures than anywhere else in Europe (except Belgium).
