This is exactly why I won't be travelling until this madness is over. Why are these eejits so desperate do visit another country? Now it's a field day for the travel companies who can charge what they like. This was always bound to happen.

Spot on teacake ,@11.18.
Ummmm. I could do with one too after three really horrible years of health problems, ops and procedures. Where shall we go? :o)
Anywhere. I don't care as long as it's pretty :-)

I just need a break from the people living in my house. Bloody lockdown is driving me demented.
Bobbi. My closest friend lives in Spain. We spend hours on messenger and miss each other like mad.
We occasionally do Apc , they own a bar and till recently have been very busy, I feel sorry for them and all the other businesses here and abroad who depend on tourism and by the time they get the small suitcase full of amazon stuff we have , it'll either be out of fashion or he'll change his motorcycle, I suppose I could sell it on eBay ? ( joke)
‘Until this madness is over’ presumes it will, one day, be ‘over’. What if it’s not. What if these spikes keep occurring? Will you be prepared to never travel abroad again?
11.21( I don't recall,) neither did the millions that are throwing their toys out their prams now because they want what they want when they want it, but start screaming when it go's tits up. Selfish big time!!
I don’t recall because it never happened, Teacake.
11.30,We will allow you to go , BUT, we don't advise it!!! staycation, remember??
I'll take my lead from what I'm advised to do Zac, if that means no travel then so be it
How's you furry friend? I bet he's getting big now :0)
Personally yes, ZM. I'm 73, have major health problems and recognise that it would wear me out and I wouldn't enjoy it. My travelling days are over. But I wouldn't hesitate if being teleported to the Western Algarve was on offer. I am pleased to have travelled a lot and my only regret is not making it to India.
I love the western Algarve Apc
We were never advised not to travel and the introduction of air bridges positively encouraged it.

Ted is getting ginger by the day, Bobbi. We’re away with friends this weekend and he’s made his first best friend in Maggie, our friend’s dog. They play great together! Off to the beach shortly
Ginger Ted and Maggie , aww sweet :0)
Yeah, they’re play fighting now.
Obviously you're not abroad? Phew!! That's a relief haha
We went back to Alvor many times, Bobbi. Hired a car often and loved the Monchique mountains. The people are so lovely.
Noooo. Yorkshire coast. Very overcast but better for dogs that way.
We've holidayed in Cabanas and Tavira a few times, loved getting the little boat over to the beach, Tavira is a beautiful town
Zac, nowt wrang wi' the Yorkshire coast, lovely beaches
