New offence to go alongside DWB. How much more do they want before admitting deep institutional racism?

I was thinking of being a Certified Idiot, PP. Wasn’t that one of the good soldier’s excuses?
> You are suggesting that because he is a black driver these alleged offences should be ignored.

No, I'm suggesting that they never took place! You, on the other hand, are suggesting that the Met police inspector is lying. Do you have any evidence of that? Here would be some evidence:

* Camera evidence - oh no, cameras were switched off
* Charges being pressed - oh no, no further action was taken once the stopped driver revealed he was a Met police inspector
* Testimony of the traffic police - possibly, but it directly contradicts the testimony of the police inspector. So who do you believe? Given the above two bullets, I know who I believe: the guy who is making an issue of it.
plenty of white people get stopped but we never hear about it because they don't pull the race card and go running to the press and put it all over social media.
Interesting that the alleged traffic offences disappeared.
How many white drivers get stopped for no apparent reason?

I've been stopped once (white female) which was cleared up in seconds.
From the article:

"The two officers left the scene after Ehikioya told them he was a serving colleague and showed them his police badge."

It's not clear whether the charges disappeared because they knew he had done nothing wrong, or because they realised they had no evidence or because they thought it may not help their careers to pursue it once they knew his rank, or a combination of these.
> plenty of white people get stopped but we never hear about it because they don't pull the race card and go running to the press and put it all over social media

That's because they're not stopped simply for being white. Unless you know otherwise?
Ellipsis.
\\That's because they're not stopped simply for being white. Unless you know otherwise?//

neither are black people, unless you know otherwise
Sick of it every day. It’s cause I’m black innit....
For supposedly 3% of the population they make more complaints than the Indian, Pakistani, Asian, Eastern European, and Polish people put together.
How do you know that?

As one Roman said to another, “I don’t know what these slaves are on about. Bleedin’ rabble-rousers.”
> neither are black people, unless you know otherwise

What do you think this story is about? As well as the many others, like the recent Dawn Butler one.

There is plenty of evidence that black people are treated differently to white people, plenty of stats to demonstrate it, if you care to take a look. That's why prominent black people complain when they're stopped, because they know they're being treated differently. Unknown people don't bother since they know from experience it will get them nowhere.

“There is plenty of evidence that black people are treated differently to white people.”

But there is plenty of opinion to the contrary! Just read the answers on this site!

Are you saying that all these well-informed and highly-educated ABers are wrong? Get a grip? Black people just want to cause trouble - it’s part of their nature.
First sensible thing you've said on this site, Allen.
Elipsis, you must be the only person in Britain who doesn't know by now that Butler's driver was white.
TTT, you need to see a doctor, fast. You keep PYSL :-))
If you are part of a group that from the records seem more likely to be 'up to something' then you must know you are likely to be checked more often than other groups. That's just common sense, not unjustified discrimination. And this story is about some folk pulling the race discrimination card out every time they are in a situation in order to get off. It may even be about pulling rank too. Using it as if it were some kind of example of institution racism needs proof of the claim, and none has been offered.

No, I think it’s more a case of TT (and his running dog Sparkly) COTOB (choking on their own bile).
It wasn't the driver who claimed to be an example of deep institutional racism.

Left-wing propaganda rags, ellipsis (I wonder how many others get your superb avatar, by the way?)
