Ignoring the personal spats, in answer to the OP....No, Boris is fit for nothing and certainly not fit for government or PM.

Since they brought in the Fixed Term Parliament Act, which was meant to force five-year gaps between General Elections, we've had three GEs in the space of just over four years, including two called early. I admire people's faith in the idea that *this time* it'll be respected, but it's pretty clearly meaningless. I wouldn't be surprised if it were scrapped altogether.
Granted, circumstances this time around are different -- the Government has a sizeable majority -- but how many times were we reassured that the next GE would be in 2020? And then in 2022? Who's to say what will happen in the coming years that might prompt an early election?
As to the claim in the post, I wouldn't be surprised if Johnson were still feeling the effects of being close to death. I don't see how this is in any sense a criticism. He's human and he's suffered a seriously debilitating illness.

I think as time progresses , The Tory Party and the electorate will realise what a huge mistake they made in putting Johnson in power. He and his party are the laughing stock of Europe if not ,The world. All they have done is fullfilled Boris's Dream of becoming PM , Even his sister said when he was a young boy he would run around shouting he wanted to King of England. Think he and his Cronies have done untold damage to the Tory Party which will take a lot of
re-gaining.
re-gaining.
Of course,he isnt fit.The only reason he is in No.10 is because the Labour Party decided in their wisdom to elect a terrorist apologist as their leader.Think about it,two incompetent bunglers promoted way beyond their capabilities as leaders of the two main political parties in Britain.I think they call it a "kakistocracy",being governed by tihs(anagram)rulers.Humphhh.
FTPA, Section 1 (3):
"The polling day for each subsequent parliamentary general election is to be the first Thursday in May in the fifth calendar year following that in which the polling day for the previous parliamentary general election fell."
Hence, May 2024 already. Easy mistake to make because of the "five-year rule", but the "first Thursday in May" is explicit.
