Andy, I agree that while you're not entirely to blame, you're always central to events leading to derailment. That's my tuppence worth, but I'm not commenting further unless it's to do with the thread's original topic.
They say never judge a book by its cover but Tommy has so many covers you can't take him seriously! I mean,he can be suited up and a right charmer but then can show up as a right bovver boy.
He likes to take centre stage but the time for an image adviser has long passed.Own worst enemy Tommy!!
If he was dumb enough to deliberately carry a knife then that is the time to access his previous convictions if not spent. Thanks to our resident CRO officer on here we know he has convictions for assault on police and other assaults. He is certainly not stupid and would know the type of sentence that possession would attract.
Hey Mozzy, you have to credit him with some intelligence and he is undoubtedly articulate. But like the late great Eric,he tends to play the notes in all the wrong order! ;-)
This is purely speculative, so I could be way out, but could it be that his people spread the rumour that he was carrying a weapon? It seems to be a particularly precise reason for the arrest. They must have had some reason to nick him.
Then the only other solution is that the coppers were bent and out for his blood. I would've thought you may have been on the side defending the police, but I guess not.
