why dont we go back to the Mar threads and c/p wholesale - no one is saying anything new - altho I have to express surprise that after 57 000 excess deaths from covid people are still saying without laughing - deaths what deaths? ( the usual suspects that is!)
hey has anyone caught that thread about the ABer with covid and the best answer is - "if you have caught covid and survived dont whine! And if you are dead from it - dont whine either. Hey hold on you cant whine anyway if you are dead!" Priceless

It's not even lockdown though is it? Everything's normal except you can't go to the pub or out for a meal. Strange considering these seem to be about the safest places. Everything is so strictly regulated, but when I go to the supermarket or any other shop and everyone's all over each other, as were the children when I saw them coming out of school today.
In the last Month, the Government has announced 12,000 further deaths (within 28 days) among those who've had positive tests for Covid-19. This has come alongside an observable increase in all-cause mortality. Available figures currently only go up to November 13th; in the four weeks up to this date, that represents about a 10% increase in expected deaths (England and Wales data), or 5,000 extra deaths, and this is only going to rise in the next two releases.
The new restrictions finally seem to have had the desired effect, though -- hospital admissions and cases are both trending down, and the average number of deaths announced daily has not climbed significantly for two weeks now. On the other hand, loosening too quickly would quickly render the entire exercise pointless.

Pixie @ 15.02: /which other do you imagine would have done any better, and kept everyone happy all the time?/
The answer to that pixie is, someone who showed leadership and not let the puppeteers Whitty & Valance have them dancing to their tune. Johnson is not a leader nor a statesman. All he wants is power, and so do t'other two. Johnson has ruined this country with the totally unnecessary lockdown. Work it out for yourself.

That's because they're all useless lilly-livered wimps. Not just Labour, all the politicians. They have no backbone; no resolve. Look at Johnson t'other day in the commons, slouching all over the benches with his unkempt hair. We need leadership to get us out of this circus but Bojo the Clown just carries on with his paper hat and red nose.

Then why single out Johnson? If you agree it’s all world leaders, by your reckoning they’ve all wrecked their economies, ergo, were Johnson has not done anything to single him out?
You really need to start thinking things thru if you don’t want to constantly look like a predjudiced whinging bigot.
