The fat lady has just appeared on the stage. Not the beginning of the end,but the end of the beginning. Many people have many doubt and that I understand, the anti vaccination group i understand less if at all. Have your jabs but keep to government recommendations and we will be back to normal by June.

Shirley... I agree. Even if the facts are right. The attitude he has claimed from himself and his colleagues... is disgusting. And more likely to put people off than encourage them.
Thank you pixie.
Let's hope you never have to see what Chill has seen, Pixie.

I can't believe you have used the word disgusting.
I have friends in the NHS who have been through a lot too but they don`t speak to people the way the OP has. There is never and excuse for bullying and all I can say is I`m glad I don`t work with him..
Gness, you must have missed his last postings about it. If the idea is to encourage people.... he did just the opposite with an arrogant and bullying view. And I have always respected his position before.
And as he has made it clear where he works in the past, I`m surprised he`s stupid enough to say the things he says on here.
And no surprise there Gness with your self righteous attitude.
He is doing more harm than good here. Disappointing, from him.
I didn't say I was a sceptic, nor did I say I wouldn't have the jab when my turn came. I certainly didn't harp on about possible side effects. What I posted was solely to do with Matt Hancock making such a show about having one first when he isn't in any of the vulnerable categories. Why you think knowing that a government minister had had one should convince me to have one I have no idea, if I were a sceptic or anti-vaccine it wouldn't make any difference who had one. As I stated above I am not either sceptical nor an anti vaccer.
"I will make my own mind up" say quite a lot of people - I have no issue with that at all - get informed, watch the news for good/bad experiences with the vaccine and (when your turn comes) make an informed decision.

But .... "I won't actually do any research or read about the vaccine - that's much too hard - but hey, Kevin on Twitter says it's dangerous and that's good enough for me ... " is what all too many of them mean.

Now that IS disgusting and frankly a shocking disrespect to the front line workers who've born the brunt of this pandemic.
Dave... you clearly haven't seen his previous postings either.... or his claim it is the "overwhelming" feeling of his colleagues.
I know many, many people in the same or similar situation... and not one has the same contempt and hatred as chill has recently told us.
He does not speak for everyone, thankfully. But has given an awful impression recently. None of which id likely to encourage anyone to either have the vaccination or take more care. As I suggested to gness... see his previous postings.
Surviving Covid documentary tonight Channel 4 9.00 p.m. for those who are interested.

Oh well, never mind.
Disregard everything I’ve said, do as you will.

Good luck!
I think what I find particularly disappointing is the Op's opinion that those who do not take the vaccine are "morons".
I hope others on here do not also take that viewpoint.
Otherwise we are in for a whole new generation of Tory/Labour, brexit/ remoaners type arguments on here. I'm not sure I can tolerate more insults being thrown back and forth.
19:09 I will.
Ahhhh....not to worry, Chill.....I'm sure you've dealt with more cantankerous folk on the wards. And there are always going to be those who can't or won't empathise......take care...x
Referring to what Mat Hancock intends to do...I'm surprised no one has compared it to an incident years ago involving a Minister and a burger. ;)
Never mind chilldoubt, you'll always have the saintly Gness on your side ..
Again gness... see previous attitude!
cashier, better than John Gummer, former agriculture minister at the time when there was a BSE scare in the 90s. To prove British beef was safe he got a hamburger ... and fed it to his daughter.

She had a small bite and refused to have any more. Fortunately she survived - it was five years before BSE, as Mad Cow disease, proved that British beef did have a problem.

At least Hancock's experimenting on himself.
