It's quite understandable that a register of those refusing the vaccine should be kept and maintained for the benefit of the whole world. Lets hope all other nations follow suit.

The certificate and a database would police it. I don’t think anyone is saying it would be perfect (no system ever is) but it would go a long way to getting the R rate down and the world’s economy up.

JD: "If the non-morons have been vaccinated they'll be immune anyway, so where's the problem? " - because it can still be transmitted, morons though they are I still don't wish death on the THB
i just don't see a way to police it. - same with mask wearing, social distancing, and teir 1, 2, 3 4, laws..

La Sexta tv?

It’s a pointless idea.
I thought you were always ranting about the EUSSR?

emmie, you cannot police anything 100% you just introduce the system and arrest the law breakers when they are encountered. In the end it'll be 2nd nature. What do you suggest, we do nothing?
TTT, there will also be a lot of people who don't know they have it. I'm waiting for results today, as my daughter who lives with me, tested positive on Monday at work. We can't work now, just isolating, but can't know whether we may have already passed it on.
I think people need to be really careful for themselves, but not rely on others, when you just don't know.
I think we're some way from this anyway and getting ahead of areselves. Its going to be a year before the bulk of UK adults are vacinnated and maybe longer for some countrys- maybe never for some. Announcing something like this would harden the attitude of antivaxxers and conspirocy theorists and lead to protests, sabotage or more disinformation so its best not to muddy the waters now. Most sensible people want it because it could save there life not because it'll allow them to catch the number 34 bus
Yes, bobbin. The OP is several steps on from what the link says. It's really a wait and see.
You can be vaccinated and still carry the virus. As many people as possible should have it and be encouraged to.
I can’t see how this does any good. It just creates a blacklist of “second class” citizens.
then you will be arresting an awful lot of people, people like Piers Corbyn who was fined 10 grand for leading one demo i think, we don't have the police manpower for another. Carry a card saying one has been vaccinated, to show to whom, bus drivers don't have contact as it is, they are behind a plastic screen, and going on experience don't tell people off for not wearing a mask, are they going to be able to chuck off kids who might get a bit lairy, sorry i just can't see this working -
Yes but in time emmie you may need a smart card ticket to board a bus or certainly a tube and the card may only be issued to those with a vax. Cant see it happening though- this seem's to be a sledgehammer to crack a nut once most people have willingly had the vaccinnation
"Most sensible people want it because it could save there life not because it'll allow them to catch the number 34 bus"

If they're swithering, it might just be the "nudge" they need to have the jag.
i don't think i belong to the THB by the way, i will have vaccine when its rolled out, but that may be many months down the line, and friends and some family members won't have theirs till maybe late in the year.
they can't police the basic laws of social distancing and wearing a mask, nor people travelling across tiers, as has been the case from the start, have a register fine, can't see it working however.
When you have had the jab you get a card which says when you had it and also the batch number. Just the same as pet vaccines!
On the back of the card it says be sure to keep this record card in your purse or wallet. I suppose this can be used as proof.
Thats just a reminder thought to get your second jab Gill AFAIK and am note sure its proof of your ID so a group of people could share one just as some do with say driving licences or bus passes
who is going to check it though, say at train station or on a bus? maybe at the airport, where you go through passport control -
sorry, forget the driving licence example- was thinking back to before they had photos on!!
