One thing I would seriously consider is stopping the sale of alcohol. Sorry to all the responsible drinkers but it is linked to a reduction in normal responsible behaviour, people get closer, more touchy feely, its the reason large groups are still gathering. It would need serious restriction and checks on the local stores with off licences as part of the...

Apc, these people aren't normal , they're nutcases !!!
i know bobbi, no family has it thankfully and no one they know has it it just seems so random though -
I know two people who have had it, both survived thankfully, but both still suffering after-effects unfortunately.

My friends grieve over their son, so does his wife and daughters and two granddaughters, so cruel a disease
The way they (denyers) behave is like a slap in the face or punch to the people who are trying to care for those who are suffering.
They must have lost all their little grey cells immediately after birth.
Ah, all the usual clamouring for lockdown, non of whom will be impacted and non will find themselves on the bones of their *** having lost their job.

Talk about selfish.
Good job I wasn’t talking about Cromer
ymb - that sounds like a bit of untruth as I don't think most people want a lockdown but some people in society to understand that this virus needs fighting and letting roam free.
i pity all of those who have lost their loved one to this vile virus, and for those businesses that won;t perhaps recover.
emmie - so many of both and no end in sight yet.
indeed LJ.

Ymb I wish I wasn't asking for a lockdown , I wish idiots would follow the rules, I wish that I had not lost a dear friend......
But unfortunately wishing isn't making this virus go away anytime soon is it?
no it isn't which is what i have said all along, - one can only put one faith in a vaccine and getting it rolled out quickly, but seeing how many they have done so far its going to take a while.
Ymb,
// Ah, all the usual clamouring for lockdown, non of whom will be impacted and non will find themselves on the bones of their *** having lost their job. //

Everyone will be impacted by another lockdown.
819,000 jobs lost so far, and many more to follow.
The first and second lockdowns did result in lowering cases. A new lockdown is inevitable because the Government has lost control as this terrifying graph illustrates...

The government has not lost control. It never had control. You cannot control the spread of a virus (as I think I said some time last March).
Canary - This has nothing to do with Boris! If people followed the guidelines maybe we wouldn't be where we currently are.

This is the public's fault.
I think most of U.K. is wondering what wlll be said. That we are going to enter a national lockdown is a given .... it remains to be seen what the rules will be tho. Whatever was in tier 4 / 3 ain’t worked yet so .... what extra steps we will find out at 8pm
More shops gone, jobs lost. More business gifted to Amazon. Absolute madness.
Dave it is tragic. TheSe jobs and livelihoods lost. Beyond tragic. It will result in more deaths long term But I dunno what else the government can do? I have zero idea?
Sick of BBC news finding chaotic hospitals to film to spread doom and gloom.
