We were told my mother had pneumonia. It was Covid but it was being covered up after a "mistake" by the local hospital.
Hopefully he and his family haven't passed it on to others after their holiday.

gness, I am sorry that I didn't give you more support last night and the early hours of the morning, as my brain is even more inactive than ever.
I hope Captain Sir Tom has an easy outcome to his medical problems and he is an extraordinary character and truly a national icon.
Unfortunately for me his good work and popularity has been slightly diluted in the light of recent reports.
It was STUPID of the whole family to travel to the Caribbean over Christmas when the advice in respect to Covid, was STAY AT HOME that was for the benefit of viruscontrol for all
What we don't know for sure, only assumptions is when or if he was tested for Covid and when he tested positive for the virus. If he contracted the disease in the Uk or during his ill advice holiday.
What we do know is that within days of returning, he developed pneumonia and was hospitalised and at some point tested positive for Covid.
What a pity that after becoming a National icon his efforts have been tempered by some, including me because of an ill advised decision.
STAY AT HOME.

Don't care if it was the wrong decision, the man is going on 101, I hope he enjoyed his time in Barbados , people as old as he is get a chest cold that will quickly turn to pneumonia, the virus came about when he was hospitalised, it hasn't tempered my view of the amazing amount of money her raised at all
Thanks, Sqad.
What he did wasn't amazing and well within his capabilities. It was the amount of money donated that was and it's not difficult to understand how that came about.
There are children in the UK who have lost a parent to this virus because that parent went beyond the call of duty in caring for Covid patients in hospital.
Children who won't ever again have a holiday with that parent or grandparent as the children in this family did, let alone a freebie to Barbados.
This must feel like a slap in the face for those children.
It doesn't matter that it was "legal". To anyone with an ounce of sense it was wrong.
