I don't think I could report anyone though given the circumstances. Many are struggling and maybe can't afford takeaway prices or even getting out to the shops to buy food.
i go along with Barry, its taking much needed revenue from those outlets that have managed to do takeaways...

I don't think Ummmm was advertising. Just for those she knows.
douglas, you think it is okay for someone to source their ingredients from lord knows where, store it inappropriately (not properly refrigerated or refrozen, exposed to vermin etc), prepare the food in a dirty kitchen, keep it at room temperature, pack it in unsuitable containers and deliver it hours later? Not to mention lack of attention to hand washing.
No public liability insurance in case of food poisoning, no business insurance for delivering the food in their car and then not declare their earnings. You really think all that is okay?
of course one could say the same about cafes and restaurants
barry....
How do you know this, Barry? How do you know they haven't been inspected? They might have owned cafes etc which can't open currently.

It's like taking food out of a childs mouth.
one assumes they have hygiene certificates but who know the state of some of these restaurant, cafes kitchens...
emmie, cafes and restaurants have to have a food hygiene certificate. The have to be registered with the council and undergo random inspections. That have to have the relevant insurances.
ummm, I ask them what their food hygiene rating is.
Is you real name Victor, Barry?
i know, but just pondering the fact that restaurants, cafes may not be hygienic as one would hope.
barry has a good point....
Gosh....Speechless.

What next? Report people for having dinner parties without a hygiene rating.
Their are plenty of legitimate businesses offering the same take away services. The unregistered people are taking business away from them - and they have families to support, too.
Don't be ridiculous, ummmm. Would you get in to a strangers car and pay them for a journey knowing he is not a legitimate taxi driver? I certainly wouldn't. Same thing - I'd accept a lift from a friend, though
Looks like imagination and list-making are vital tools in the fight against underground sandwich makers.

I feel much safer now.
If I get food poisoning from a legitimate business I can sue them knowing they have the relevant insurance to pay up; I can report them to the council and they will fined and maybe closed down.
There is no recourse if I buy from one of these unregulated facebook sellers.
We're only half a step away from funding ISIS I fear.
Barry....AGAIN...how do you know their kitchen haven't been inspected?
because they are not a legimate business, no need to get hygiene certs, nor as pointed out insurance -
