The Windsor title from what i just read, cannot be used again.
Edward and Wallis didn't go on the Oprah Winfrey show and call a Royal a racist....-;)
no he simply abdicated, and from what you read the country was well shot - Nazi meetings, leanings, not good for anyone.
I suppose he/they could have any surname they wanted. He was known as Harry Wales in the army but Sussex or Windsor would suffice. I think Her Maj has said that any of the royalty requiring a surname can use Mountbatten-Windsor.
No, they did the complete opposite and were photographed shaking hands with Hitler.
A woman who is married to a duke is a duchess. It's that simple. The difference with Wallis is that although she was a duchess she was denied the style of HRH, to which normally she would have been entitled.
In her clever way, Meghan has ensured this will not happen now, cos if it does Her Maj will look unsympathetic to Meghan & Harry’s “mental health” and racism claims
They didn't call the royals liars either, sqad. Meghan has assured her place in the annals of history .... and not in a good way. The pair of them are an utter disgrace.
I don't think the Queen will do anymore than she has already done. If she strips them of their titles, we'll never hear the end of it from H&M.
Also, she refers to them as much loved members of the family, and from what I have read, she would welcome them back into the fold.
Barsel, I don't think the queen will do any more either. She has what neither of them possess... graciousness, dignity and loyalty.
Doesn't seem as if it's possible, but I'd have favoured a compromise. Meghan, yes; Harry, no. :-)
YES, but it'll never happen.
LOL...lol.....I just have the feeling that the Duchess was going into the Royal family and to use that oft quoted American phrase......"to kick ass"
No because it would be pointless, and petty. But I do think styling Meghan Princess Henry of Wales would be fun...
Princess of Wails would be more apt.
Well, she certainly did that Squad !
No.

Especially not considering that they've made allegations of bullying and racism. If the Royal Family wants to survive this with their reputations intact then the correct response is to treat the allegations with respect, not indifference. Stripping the Sussexes of their titles is at this point spiteful.

I'm not sure what the Sussexes have done to deserve such opprobrium.
Sorry 'Sqad' ..
After her marriage the Duchess of Gloucester was styled Princess Richard until Prince Richard succeeded to the dukedom two years later.
I think the Duchess saw herself as someone who would make the monarchy into something like an American reality show with her as the star. She was going to use it as a vehicle to put right the things she thought were wrong. The clash was one of culture not race. After all I am sure her quiet dignified mother would have fired in beautifully.
