This has been happening all week now. Why can't people take their rubbish home and dispose of it in responsibly? Is it because they are too pished or because the don't give a tiny rats derriere?

Disgusting behaviour but I suppose another way to look at it is it's keeping park cleaners in work.

the amount of litter dropped by those who should know better at gigs like Glastonbury is horrendous. I have seen the afterwards photo's and almost everything is left behind, tents, ground sheets, broken umbrellas, seating, and all manner of plastic packaging. Do they do this at home, i suspect not. The clear up takes days.
They are pig ignorant and blithely indifferent to the mores of a decent society. The let someone else do it brigade.
To be fair, at Glastonbury and other similar events rubbish clearance is factored into the (very expensive) ticket. It's also up to the landowner to clean it up.

The real problem is those littering parks and public spaces, but like I said earlier, this is nothing new its just the type of rubbish that has changed as it doesn't degrade.
maybe it is factored in, but its still horrendous waste.
It's disgusting behaviour, not least when you read what some of the rubbish being left is .... and a lot of the folk leaving all this litter and debris are all the people who are claiming that they want to save the environment! People just think that others are going to clear up the rubbish after them, so it's perfectly okay to leave it there ..... just selfish and totally inconsiderate!
i agree chokkie, i wouldn't dream of leaving my sandwich packet, and empty bottle of drink in the park, nor do i expect others to do the same, if there is no bin take it with you.

I aways used bins provided if I went anywhere or brought it home. Ever since I've had recycling bins I bring my rubbish home and place it in the appropriate bin unless there are different bins available. I was never taught to do this but it was just something I grew up doing without thinking about.

Most places have recycling bins now although people just shove anything in.
Most of them are adults! You only have to go into town on a Sunday to see the mess they make.
young adults as i said earlier, not necessarily kids.

glastonbury is all age groups, so you can't all lump it on one age
Emmie - have you been to Glastonbury?

The bins are over flowing. Where are people suppose to put their rubbish?

Of course some selfish people just drop litter but many stack it by the bins so it's easier to clean up.
i have seen the footage its usually all left where they sat.
I know rubbish when I see it and I've seen most of the above almost word for word over the years.

I suppose it's a kind of recycling.
Water cannon the lot with dye in it to identify the litter louts.
suggest that a whole host of people would do home painted blue.
ever seen the big race meetings grounds when the events are over ?? not a lot of young people there, but litter as far as the eye can see
been to the races many times, and always found it quite clean, with a mixture of age ranges. Many Young people like a punt too.
