Anyone could have told you that – I’m waiting for Boris to admit that the only reason he backed Brexit was to give him a better chance of becoming PM. He is the sort of person who is willing to flush the country down the toilet for personal gain – not the sort of person you’d want running any country.

Alan Duncan is not the first person to describe Johnson in this way... Max Hastings (former employer) and numerous conservative backbenchers have described him as lazy dishonest and workshy

I can understand why many people did not feel they could vote Labour in the last election and why many might have voted Tory with a heavy heart... but what I cannot understand is why Tory members themselves chose Johnson as their leader when the vast majority of candidates were better qualified and not so obviously dodgy... I strongly dislike Jeremy Hunt for example but there seems no doubt that he is a more capable and hardworking than Johnson...
