Anyone Been Watching The Derek Chauvin Trial?
I presume we're allowed to talk about it as it's all live-streamed on US tv.

ZM a psychopath and a racist. Haha I have seen it all now. ZM and I have had many run-ins but let me assure you Untitled (or should it be unhinged looking at the rantings on this post) ZM has never displayed the traits of a psychopath nor has he ever displayed and signs of being a racist. I think an apology is in order for this one.

I don't "wish," anything zacs, which is why I'm asking... I prefer the truth. You seem a little obsessed with Floyd's behaviour. He is dead, and won't do any more.
The question is now whether you think Chauvin is best to continue?
I'm not denying that the world might be better off without Floyd. What I'm saying, the only relevant part now, is that the world might also be better off without Chauvin.
I don't see why nobody can dislike both.

'You seem a little obsessed with Floyd's behaviour' I'm not obsessed, Pix, I think his criminality has a bearing on ones opinion of Chauvin. As a police officer he may well have been aware of Floyd's criminal nature and this may have had a bearing on his actions, or at least the force used. I know that's wrong and I'm not condoning it but he was a human being with all the emotional baggage which goes with that and this may have had a bearing on the force he used. The Jury is still out on whether it was excessive force, I believe.
I won't dislike him until all the evidence is in, if that's OK?

//That would be ridiculous also, but given the nature of Floyd's crimes and the fact that he would have gone on to commit more, his expunging is a societal positive. //
What a creepy thing to say... he "did the time" for many of those crimes (the home invasion for example) and according to wiki his friends say that he expressed remorse for them and was trying to turn his life around through religion....
not a model citizen I agree but he was still a human being.
and yes I'm afraid when you say "his expunging was a social positive" then you're effectively saying he deserved to die...

Just a part...
//Since joining the police force in 2001, Chauvin alone has had 18 complaints filed against him, only two of which were “closed with discipline,” CNN reports. A database that documents instances of police brutality listed seven complaints against Chauvin that have all been “closed” and resulted in “no discipline." Other reports documented his involvement in multiple violent, and deadly cases of police abuse.
According to CNN, in 2006, Chauvin and five other officers shot and killed a man who had stabbed his girlfriend and a friend. Two years later, he was reportedly involved in an altercation with an individual suspected of a domestic dispute. Chauvin shot the man twice, though the man survived.
In 2011, Chauvin was placed on a three-day leave, along with four other officers, for his involvement in the non-fatal shooting of an indigenous man, The Daily Beast reports. The officers were allowed back to work after it was determined they responded “appropriately.” Five more complaints made against Chauvin prior to 2012 have also been closed and resulted in no disciplinary action//

Pix, you’ve stated ‘the world might also be better off without Chauvin’ &
‘The question now, is whether Chauvin is the kind of character you want as a cop, or even a civilian’
Then you admit you've no idea what the complaints against him are, and you've therefore no idea whether they were justified.
Yes, I know the diference between a question and a statement and 'Zacs- are you suggesting Chauvin knew... and deliberately did society a favour.'
Is definitely a question. A very silly one.
Please do stop.
