How can they possibly find him anything other than guilty of murder? Having listened to the summing up, even if you put aside the problems it would cause on the streets if he was found not guilty, the evidence was so compelling that he must surely be found guilty.

As i have said before Chauvin should have got Alec Salmonds lawyer over to the States to act in his defence.Not only would Chauvin be found not guilty he would recieve a twenty million dollar award and be made president of USA for life.

The prosecution goes first, the defence follows. The prosecute can then challenge defence statements if they are incorrect.
That happened over the claim that Floyd died of Carbon Monoxide poisoning, when no medical evidence was provided to back up the claim.

No verdict would give me pleasure in this case.

I do sympathise with Chauvin and I don't particularly sympathise with the "victim" in this case...

...BUT...

The guy was handcuffed so no chance of him running off and evading capture. Furthermore it is unacceptable to lean on someone's neck and to continue doing so whilst the repeatedly plead that they can't breathe.

He might have been a worthless scrote but he had a life and his life wasn't Chauvin's to take. Like it or not, a man is dead because of someone's else's disregard for human life. DC has never shown a grain of remorse.

Unfortunately though I think today's verdict will be detrimental in many ways for race relations in the US and will empower BLM who will never serve as a force for good in this world.

Wouldn't surprise me either, JD. Especially in America. There are few countries on Earth as divided as theirs.

There was no winning verdict in this case and the fallout is yet to be seen.

all i see is a lot of police retiring if they can or leaving the job, and more crime not being investigated in black areas as they wil become no go areas or if police do turn up, it will be after the event.
