If the rule isn't in force, my guess would be none:-/
how do you force people to quarantine. its just not possible, unless you send round the police....
And yet, Emmie, thousands have 'shielded' or 'self-isolated' without old bill paying them a visit.

I thought it was always the case - at least since those great rulers he british left

near the Parsee Towers of silence ( something to look up and foo about) the residents get fingers and other things in their cornies as they eat them on a balcony and the carrion birds fly over
Yes - I think sky burial is a great solution to disposing of dead humans. However the birds would get so fat they'd probably be unable to fly!
no they are still there - waiting - and thin !
hungry they are

brahmins trying to get the towers closed last I heard
Seeing dead bodies is a far more common experience for poor people in India than it is here.

And a mere corpse would never overcome the religious imperative to bathe in the holy waters of the Ganges.

As for the notion of health - again that's a very different concept in a culture that really has not proper health education, or systems in place to secure sanitation and basic hygene.
We catch covid from breathing it in from people around us.

Dead bodies in the Ganges don’t breath.
Partly wrong sunk, our own government here in the uk have been testing human feces in our sewer systems to trace outbreaks of covid. So any dead bodies in the ganges can still be infected, for how long who knows.
