He likes to call me GG ( Grey Goose, okay I’ll own that )
As long as it’s not George Galloway , well-it wasn’t last time I looked :0))))
And I call him the Swerver, I bet you don’t know why ;))
gulliver; I have just learnt that during the campaign, in an attempt to garner extra Muslim votes, Labour’s candidate Kim Leadbeater posed for a photograph with local campaigners sporting T-shirts that depicted Israel as ‘Palestine’, issued both a leaflet and a letter touting her pro-Palestinian credentials by heaping scorn on Israel, and defended a grim leaflet clearly geared towards tapping into anti-Hindu and anti-Indian prejudices.

Despicable behaviour, stoking up divisions within the local communities, all of which probably helped to just nudge ahead by a handful of votes to gain the 'victory'.

Are you proud of this party & its methodology gulliver ?
“I have just learnt …”

Who from this time I wonder ;-)

All in all pretty shocking: George Galloway did his best to heal the bitter divisions, but what can you do against a woman in a t shirt …
Stephen Daisley
'The price Labour paid for victory in Batley'
The Spectator - out today.

//what can you do against a woman in a t shirt …//

That depends on what is written on the t-shirt. Declaring that Israel is Palestine is a lie & has little to do with Batley, so it is a lie aimed at the Muslims of that constituency, the overwhelming majority of them hating Israel & Jews, (in fact their Koran instructs them to actively slaughter them!).

Labour say “the Tories are not on your side”

Lol

Well, how nasty of them.
If Labour were the worst offenders I’d be surprised, in a field containing Galloway and his rent-a-mob, Jayda Fransen, and representatives of several incarnations of UKIP past and present.

There is hard evidence that Labour lied & cheated, do you have any hard evidence that any of those above on your list did likewise?

interesting take on Gorgeous George who did his best to SPLIT the vote and allow in outsiders

He later eschewed ( not really an AB word - But Harry ( just call me Harry) does as well, eschew the press - ) the mainstream media and whined to a single fella thus:
"I" said GG - (gorgeous George that is! ) will sue (*) to hold this election void on account of the following libel (+) - Mrs Leadbetter said she was abused outside a mosque and I was there ( when I was not ) on the opposite side of the street - and LAUGHED ! "

I roared with laughter at this - whilst others quavered " why laugh-you?"
and we await events

(*) It will be the Electoral Court under the reformed Representation of the People Act. Previously, the last one was 1867 and everyone had to look up how to hold one ( electoral court hearing, silly, what else do you hold?) - and then the one that declared Lutfer Rahman's election void for 26% forged postal votes

(+) Libel as a grounds for voiding an election jesus - reminds himself that this is AB
I understand the candidate was Jo Cox's sister and the majority was reduced? I wouldn't call that a successful result.
Ichkeria. You’ve had a whoosh moment. Have another look and this time think about it.
Indeed Peter.
It was a dirty contest all round and there is no doubt all sides including the Tories sink to varying levels of arguing heights below sea level. Kim Leadbitter though got serious personal abuse, which given the backstory in this constituency is pretty diabolical
Seems to have come from Moslems a lot if it too: open goal not fired into by the usual suspects as it suits tho ;-)
She’s not bitter.
She’s better than that.
Apologies
“ interesting take on Gorgeous George who did his best to SPLIT the vote and allow in outsiders”

Er, irony, Peter?
Surely at least you …. ;-)
ichi: I'll take your response to my question as a 'no' then ?
There is no doubt on my mind who the peddlers of division and hate are.
You have nothing to say about Galloway and his rent a mob?
That is up to you, but I did like this from Marina Hyde:

“ Tell you what: you’d never catch a cat pretending to be George Galloway.”

Meow!

I saw her on BBC news not giving a toss about the teacher under death threats.
What, she said “I don’t give a toss about the tea her receiving g death threats” ??

That’s bad
I should be able to call you an idiot for that reply but I won't because it would be removed.
I don’t understand: what then do you mean by your comment about not not giving a toss?
in fairness ichi, I asked you if the others had told lies, you didn't substantiate if they had, but I've just read this on Melanie Phillip's blog. :

[i] By perpetrating what are in effect blood libels against Israel, the media are actively helping fuel the murderous hysteria against Israel in the Muslim world. This is now interfering with British politics, with “Palestine” having been promoted by the demagogic George Galloway to inflame Muslim voters in this week’s Batley and Spen by-election. [i]

How true this accusation against Galloway I don't know.
