The ones being evacuated are those who assisted the US and British forces as interpreters etc.I don't think that would include any women and certainly no children.

Live on bbc this am I saw a live report from Kabul airport, hundreds of families standing in long long lines( peacefully) waiting to board aeroplanes .

Its a different culture to ours, women are the lowest of the low to them. In addition it is dangerous for them to be out as the Taliban will do unimaginable things to them.

What is also odd is the absolute silence from the usual vocal womens rights and Luvvy crowd in the West.

i dunno what you've been watching YMB but i have seen loads of people voicing their outrage at the treatment of women, and their concerns for women and girls from the news bulletins , to radio, to newsnight and so on

Bobster, I think by the luvvy brigade the poster is referring to people who are all for feminist rights etc. but at the same time embrace the Religion of Love and Peace which can, by some interpretations, treat women as filthy menstruating vvhores. This therefore causes a dichotomy and mixed ideology. Maybe oxymoronic.

I would go further and say The Greens saying they want as many Afghans in as possible, therefore accepting Halal slaughter which is truly, truly hideous.

Adolf Hitler - great bloke, loved dogs and built the VW Beetle
Dr Shipman - great bloke, diagnosed loads of cancers
