Boris promised not to increase Income tax , vat, or National Insurance if you voted for him.
He has now changed his mind and is going to increase Nat ins . Coupled with a strong possibility of smashing the State Pension Triple Lock, while he's at it.

Boris and Sajid have got to fill the hole they have made in the treasury,
after diverting all that tax payers money to their Cronies with Contracts for useless ppe equipment etc in the early days of Covid.

The conservatives always had a fixation in not wanting to raise taxes. It was laudable but unworkable, taxes have to rise sometime and must now to pay for the costs of the past eighteen months.
