Its not a case of disagreeing or agreeing with gully, its looking at the facts. As someone who normally sells product to the EU, I personally am hitting brick walls trying to trade with the EU. They are making a scapegoat of the UK in a vain attempt to try and stop other Nations from thinking about coming out.
Boris did not make good deals and God knows he had plenty of time to try. The Rule Britannia brigade were so wrapped up in the thought of billions for the NHS ( which was never going to happen) and control over our Borders ( ok whatever) that the thought of businesses no longer being able to trade with ease did not even cross their minds, I mean why would it? That, coupled with other events not even dreamed of in 2016 have resulted in where we are now. There ARE shortages -for whatever reasons, and Brexit plays a role in that. So some may joke about it, take the mickey, but we are heading towards shortages of certain foods, possibly fuel and a huge hike in energy prices. No, we will not starve and will not need care packages from abroad, neither will we be getting into dinghies trying to flee the UK, but Brexit, in my opinion, was a huge mistake and in years to come we will see the repercussions both Politically and Economically. It is, and always will, be a huge mistake to fall out with your close neighbours, even if you can't stand them.
