sp1814, In answer to your question, not that I'm aware of but has anybody come forward to back up his version? Perhaps he thought the rules were trivial but if they're the safety rules you abide by them, would you want to fly with somebody who doesn't accept safety rules? It's a bit late if the person continues to disregard the rules when airborne and as we were told in the RAF, there are no laybys at 40,000 feet.
