The airline clearly explained why Kahn and his mate were booted off the the plane. The rules may be silly, illogical, senseless etc but they are the rules and no one is better at applying senseless pointless rules than our American friends. Amir me old china just bear it so you can travel.

There is no reason not to believe the airlines version of the event. Other passengers would have heard the conversation and witness what happened. Disobeying aircraft safety rules is extremely serious and I'm sure the cabin crew were much more concerned with that than the colour of the mans skin.

sp1814, In answer to your question, not that I'm aware of but has anybody come forward to back up his version? Perhaps he thought the rules were trivial but if they're the safety rules you abide by them, would you want to fly with somebody who doesn't accept safety rules? It's a bit late if the person continues to disregard the rules when airborne and as we were told in the RAF, there are no laybys at 40,000 feet.

It’s perfectly possible that the American Airlines staff acted unprofessionally (remember the United Airlines deplaning a couple of years back)?

Not saying either side is right or wrong, I’m just curious as to why some have taken the words of the airline to be 100% true.
