anneasquith, nobody here can score political points since nothing anybody says here is going to persuade anybody else here to do anything different at all, ever, especially when it comes to political allegiance. If you want to see an attempt at political capital being made from this, try watching the news at ten ...
The plain fact is that any elected MP, given their role, would be wrong to describe any fellow elected MP as "scum", and today's events demonstrate why.
Ooops, the weekend over zealous pious AB drunk on power mod has started to zap posts I see, so I’ll try again ( probably fruitlessly).
Anneasquith, as per you have demonstrated you are hard of thinking, so I’m genuinely interested what you think of the disgusting Rayner’s view that all Tories are scum?
Despite the fact that he was a) a Conservative MP and b) a proponent of the death penalty, both of which go against my beliefs, he did not deserve this and I hope the b*s*t*r* that did this gets locked up.
Shocking news.
Ellipsis, I don't think anybody is denying that Rayner was put of order, and my view is that she should've been made an example of. All the discussion here is of whether her words influenced this attack, and given it looks like this may well be a terrorist incident, clearly they were not.
As for scoring political points, I guess you must be new to AB, and have never read any post in the news section before. :-P
It's ok Peter, I think you just jumped the gun a bit, his death was announced AFTER I made my comment, I was hoping that his injuries were superficial. BTW, I have autism.
