Is it sqad? people should be using their own common sense to protect themselves, we all know that but seeing depressing figures and stats does nothing for morale
223, is a massive improvement on what I was seeing before. I'm not really keeping up with the obsession about only these deaths. But, I am relieved to see it's reducing.
Actually, I've read the link twice, but can't see the stats?
More importantly.... out of all deaths per day, what percentage are directly from covid? Can we start looking after other ill people too now?
There was never any doubt that there would be variants, and Delta Plus is just one of them - constant tracking by the experts is important in case a variant that can outwit the current vaccines comes along.
People constantly want to downplay the number of new cases.
But when we are seeing a quarter of a million new cases a week, the likelihood of a dominant mutation emerging
is greater.
new cases are irrelevant, that's the point of the vaccine, to mnake the disease survivable in most case, that's why there are a lot of cases and very few deaths, just look at the simple line graphs gromit.
I don't want to downplay- i prefer the truth. We had a 62 year old lady, who had been fine on kidney dialysis for years. Her treatment was first reduced, and then stopped, due to wanting beds left for covid... knowing she would die. She did get and recover from covid, but died from kidney failure 2 weeks later.
Would she be included in covid stats?
daily cases jan 55-60k daily deaths 1600-2000
today: cases 44k deaths 223
did they do maths in your school gromit?
Of course cases are growing we are getting back to normal doing normal things.
Figures say within 28 days of a Covid test. What they don’t say is if they were people who were admitted suffering from Covid or developed Covid after being admitted to hospital for something else or were elderly people discharged from hospital to old people’s homes and spread it to their fellow residents.
