France seem shortsighted on Al this to me. Surely they see the channel is a magnet that draws many thousands to Calais turning it in to a big dump and causing travelers across France. emmie "no it won't TTT, Macron doesn't give a merde for us. " - correct but he's a politician and like all politicians he craves popularity. Imagine the glow he'd get if he cleared the migrants out of all of France, well the ones that want to reach UK, anyway, and that's most of them. This idea will do that, the camps will be gone, the people smugglers will be gone. That's the prize, he would be helping us and that may stick in the craw but he'll massively help himself and France and even an obstinate Frenchman will eventually realise that.
