Is the Prime Minister right to censure the BBC over its reporting of the Christmas party scandal(s) or is he shooting the messenger?

The BBC are treading a perilous path. Alienating the public over finances & criticising / haranguing politicians they will end up with no support at all.
Dave; and are all the newspapers who are criticising Johnson treading a perilous path? The BBC, fortunately, is not there to trot out unthinking support for the government.
well he has a point, surely an alleged xmas bash from a year ago is not the most important thing that the media could report on.
TTT will be posting on this thread shortly to proclaim Boris is right to censure the BBC (whenever they criticise him).
Bloody hell, he’s quick.
I don't think it's necessarily what the BBC reports but the way it reports it. Even handed it isn't.
More undying adoration for Boris from TTT.
Just how many more dead cats has Boris got to throw on the table.
I wonder what those who have very recently been prosecuted for having parties on the same day as the Downing St. party make of all this?
If Members of the government and/or staff were doing the opposite to what the plebs were told not to ,then the BBC is correct to so report , along with other news channels

Will Boris have a go at itv or sue the former speaker for defamation in response to this

I somehow doubt it because it is undoubtedly true !
Johnson will blame anyone/ any organisation because remember NOTHING is his fault. . Wasn’t me .
Anyone who thinks the BBC is neglecting Covid reporting must live on another planet.
It is everywhere.
If Boris is fed up about the stupid things he does, he should stop doing stupid things.

Should the BBC (and I assume all media outlets) be more respectful/reverential of our politicians - like in North Korea, China and Russia?

Or should the media be there to ensure that we, the general public know what those who are elected to represent us, are doing?

Gromit@ 12.30 Boris was born..... Stupid , It's in his genes.... or Trousers.
He's completely wrong.
And the one treading a perilous path, I would suggest.

Anyway, it was ITV who started all this when they showed the Stratton video
Nothing appears to be more important to the media, it’s the first item on the news. We must be living in a very peaceful world at the moment.
Boto 14,35,According to the Boris worshippers on A/B ..The Boris story has
" been done to death" ..but that's only because they put their fingers in their ears every time Boris is critisised, and they want it to go away.
Boris is blaming the easy target to try and deflect blame. The BBC doesn't seem to be reporting anything different from any other news outlet to me. If you don't want to look like a ***, don't do ***-y things.
