" - an unfortunate side effect of the disastrous devolution. Something as important as a pandemic should be handled by the UK government for the whole UK and would have been prior to devolution. I think a lot of decisions being made in the minor nations are based on belligerence rather than any sort of operational logic.
As NYE approaches are most still in agreement that it was the right decision ?

Definitely the right decision. I don't think people are taking into account the negatives of lockdowns and restrictions for so many people. We only seem to be shown covid stats... and everyone else is just collateral damage.
Are there numbers given for elderly people, with dementia especially, who have just stopped eating and given up, after the lack of visitors? They may not be able to always articulate what they need, but this has happened far more over the last year, from the experience of friends and relatives.
Also businesses, and other illnesses... I'm isolating at the moment, which is fine for me. But does affect others quite badly. Is anyone counting these?
