Ladybirder //He was forced to marry someone he didn't want to marry, didn't love, whilst loving someone else.// For goodness sake he was a grown man. Has he never used the word "no" and wasn't CPB still married?
Perhaps the country doesn't always want what stableford wants.
Naomi, Buggerlugs sold his birthright when he cheated on Diana. Before, after and during his marriage. The contempt with which he treated his own wife should be enough. William and Kate are in touch with the country, unlike the other pair.
He did it because he felt it was his duty or was made to feel by the Queen Mum that it was his duty.

Well, that's one mercy to be thankful for.
Rarely, Naomi. But as these things are never subject to referendums, it's doubtful whether one will have any say in the matter. Let Charles ascend to the throne, if you must, but not in my name, and yes, that will be the end of the monarchy.
Stableford, in fairness, Diana wasn't exactly the model of fidelity either.
Cheer up, Moz, it'll only get worse.
I'm not arguing that Diana become Queen, Moz.
I'm not unhappy, in fact, your "it'll be the end of the monarchy" line made me laugh out loud. In all honesty, I couldn't give a monkeys who's on the throne, but after 70 years, it's going to be a change the entire country will have difficulty coming to terms with.
They had nothing in common, should never have married. Charles made a wonderful job of Highgrove, it was his passion but I don't think she ever even bothered to visit. I don't think she had a brain in her head when he married her. Totally unsuited to each other I'm afraid.
Stableford // but not in my name, and yes, that will be the end of the monarchy.//
Absolute rubbish.
I know, I'm just saying the Charlie's affair had context. An unhappy marriage all round. It happens.
So much toxicity on here today!

I cried buckets when Diana tragically died but we can't live in the past. I also didn't like Camila at the beginning because of.........well, the history of the 3 in the marriage thing.........but she has grown on me and its obvious that they loved each other before and after the marriages to other people. They are happy and I'm sure Charles is a much better person for it now.
I was under the impression that most of the English monarchy had affairs or adulterous almost as if it were mandatory.

Mind you, I thought thatthe majority of Bishops were gay
