Sinking Of The Russian Cruiser Moskva
The Moskva sank on 14 April 2022 after being damaged by fire. Ukrainian officials said their forces hit Moskva with two R-360 Neptune anti-ship cruise missiles, setting her on fire in heavy seas. The Russian Ministry of Defence said she sank after a fire caused a munitions explosion.
Could this be a turning point in the war ? I hope so.

There were reports of an explosion and fire after involving one of Moskva's exposed deckside missile tubes.
The missiles were apparently fired from a land-based launcher near Odesa, which was located 60 to 65 nautical miles (100 km) away. The cruiser was equipped with a triple-tiered air defence system that if operated properly should have given it three opportunities to defend itself from a Neptune missile attack. Ukrainian sources reported that the attack was supported by a Bayraktar TB2 combat drone, which distracted the Russian ship's defences. On 14 April, the Ukrainian Southern Command claimed that Moskva had capsized and was beginning to sink.
Lithuanian Defence Minister Arvydas Anušauskas claimed that a distress signal had been sent from the ship shortly after it was hit. //

// Drones are reported to have been used to harass the vessel and keep its air defences distracted before the missiles were fired from a hidden battery near Odessa. At least two of the missiles are then reported to have struck the ship – causing a massive explosion and inferno as they are believed to have detonated one of Moskva’s exposed deckside missile tubes. //

Yes a correspondent from UNIAN - Ukrainian newsagency - reported that 14 sailors from the Moskva had arrived in a cutter in Sevastopol and the fate of the others was “unknown” - not that they were “missing” so I suppose it’s possible others were rescued.
The missile strikes were reported well before Russia claimed there had had been “a fire on board” and a Russian military site also indicated that the vessel had been hit before - as is often the case - removing the item in question.
