Q: "what would you say to The PM and Kier Starmer right now...."
A: " Stop arguing over who drinks when and where and start getting on with the real problems of the day."
Enough said, the public are sick to death of trivial cobras gate!

The mantra currently being trotted from Tory central office (and repeated ad nauseam on here) that everyone is fed up with partygate, and a glass of wine with chums is perfectly acceptable, I wonder whether they will be saying that on Friday morning. The people have their say today, but will Boris’ apologist listen?
If my short time on this forum is anything to go by there is no chance.
I am quite stunned at the level of blinkered and blind loyalty to a Premier who is obviously a serial liar and narcissist.
Maybe it’s a reflection?
Still, there may be the offer of some kind of wager later no doubt, let’s see what the day brings.

DH, I've no doubt the government will take a bit of a bashing today - it happens mid-term - but if you're looking for reflections look no further than those who would reject Boris in favour of Starmer. This pathetic excuse for a politician, the man they champion to lead this country (God help us!) offers plenty of bluster but no answers to anything, simply cowering behind the manufactured smokesceen that has become known as 'partygate' - that is until he - and his sidekick (who wasn't there …he said) were exposed. Starmer, for fear of upsetting the fashionable 'woke', doesn't even have the honest gumption to concede that women don't possess penises. If that's what you want go to the polls today and plant your cross - and then have the guts to look in the mirror - if you're sure you'll like what you'll see, that is.
donkey: "I am quite stunned at the level of blinkered and blind loyalty to a Premier who is obviously a serial liar and narcissist. " - It must come as a shock to a dyed in the wall Boris hater. He could give everyone a £100k Xmas bonus and you'd still nit pick something. We see the big picture not irrelevant drivel. We see the management of continual Crises from the moment he set foot in no 10. Most of what people claim as "lies" are not. They say more about the literacy of the accuser than the accused.
Johnson not going anywhere any time soon?We shall see. Even his councillors are running scared and are aware of the scale of the damage he has done.
They are pleading and fighting for their political lives.

If they can't - or won't - see through the spin then they're self-serving, disloyal, idiots who have very short memories and don't deserve to be re-elected.

That said, still unsure if you’re referring to councillors or the cabinet?
The underlings will shortly be paying for the misdeeds of their masters anyway.

//Must admit I’ve not read about this sort of mentality from his or any other politicians supporters since the little fella with the odd moustache in Berlin was besieged in his remaining few days. //
You're out of order, DH. If you can't maintain a civil conversation you shouldn't contribute.
Oh, I didn’t realise you’re a moderator?
Or are you the self-appointed Speaker of Answerbank?
Or would you prefer a different analogy? I’ve plenty, can be produced upon request.
