Two things I don't understand in regards to the overturning of Roe v Wade.
1. Is it not the case that women choosing to have an abortion can/could do so by taking pills available via the Internet?
2.Can criminalising those who carry out abortions, doctors etc, be anything but pointless when a need for abortions will inevitably be fulfilled by back streets practitioners causing more deaths and adverse health outcomes?

Well pardon me but the idea that the majority of women use abortion as a means of contraception is beyond ridiculous. Abortion isn’t nice. Best way to combat is not to try to ban it. It won’t work

No means of support, Naomi? You underestimate the amazing charities and adoption who offer incredible support to women during pregnancy. Perhaps you should do your research before asking such asinine questions.
Naomi’s posts haven’t even approached being asinine. I’d look closer to home for such things, if I were you, Hazi.
The CCDA do amazing work all over the US, and in supporting women, and the unborn child. Claiming 'lack of support' is ridiculous. It was clear from the response to the long overdue overturning of Roe v Wade that there are many who still support the murder of the unborn child. Every child deserves a chance at life.
That's your opinion, Zacs. Naomi is old enough to talk for herself. Unborn babies cannot do the same.
Thankyou Zacsmaster, the voice of reason as always.
Mmm.
Yes, the CCDA are just one of many examples.
It's all very well saying, "I want an abortion", but there are at least two other beings involved; the unborn, (who for all anyone knows, might grow up one day to cure cancer) & the medical person who has to carry out the task, even though he/she is dedicated to actually saving life.
Spice...upwards of 26 states...thats half of the US,...will or have already, banned abortion. I think I read that some will have time limits of as little as 6 weeks. How many women even know they are pregnant that early?

Hazi, I’ve had a quick look and in 2019 there were almost 630,000 legally induced terminations in the US. That excludes the use of abortion pills. It would be some charity that could cope effectively with that. Is my question still asinine?
You assume that 630,000 of those 'legal' abortions were necessary, Naomi. Abortions for medical reasons, or to save the lives of the mother, would be a small fraction of that. Heartbreaking to think of 630,000 unborn children denied a chance at life 'legally'.
Does the ban include abortions for medical reasons or to save the mother's life?
Shame the 'powers that be' are quite so concerned about protecting live children in their schools.....
Abortions aren't carried out on a whim. It's often a devastating thing for the mother to go through. Doctors have to approve the course of action before it is carried out.
I agree they should not be thing of convenience but sometimes an abortion is necessary, and a safe environment for a medically approved abortion has to be better for everyone that backstreet butchery
Hazi, I don’t assume anything. I’m simply giving you some idea of numbers. How easy it is for you, without knowing individual circumstances, to determine how someone else should approach what for many is an unthinkable prospect.
Naomi, I am not determining anything. How easy it is for you to speak on behalf of those who have had to go through the trauma of an abortion, especially those who could have made a different decision. The unborn don't have a voice.
Firstly, Pasta. I wouldn't believe the Washpo if it said today is Saturday.
But even if they were telling the truth for once, I'm not so vain as to think my personal feelings should override the democratic choices made by people in the US. (having opinions is OK)
Making abortion a constitutional right was always ridiculous.
Hazi, I am able to speak on behalf of some of them.
Of course, Naomi, and many would agree with you.
The same Supreme Court that considers itself to be protecting the unborn child has declared that restrictive gun laws in New York, ages old laws, are unconstitutional so now it's easier to murder a child in NY thanks to SCOTUS.
