It is not the remit of PCCs to investigate live crimes. They are there to oversee the police, that they are serving the public properly, reaching their targets and are value for money.

Nearly all PCCs are aligned to a political party. But they do an entirely different job than get involved in investigations. The Police force wouldn’t allow her to interfere, and she wouldn’t do because of obvious bias.
