Soft, strong and extremely long!
the lesser of two weevils!
Another TGL for you, TTT. The Garish Liz.
Mine would have gone in the bin.
Question Author
did you support any of the original candidates naomi?
Favourite backer:-J
No, TTT, I didn't. The whole thing is a farce.
Question Author
how do you suggest we replace the party leader then?
Question Author
ken, not really I was always in the ABR camp.
I really don't care how they replace him, TTT. With no obvious successor waiting in the wings they've done what they've done and whatever they do now will do them no good whatsoever. Either of these two candidates are heading for failure - and dragging the party with them. Potty!
The 2 main parties seem bent on self-destruction We could do with a serious re-alignment - A new centrist party maybe governing in coalition with either the extreme lefties or righties. The Labs & Cons are both struggling to contain their more outspoken minorities.
the proliferation of social media - twitter and all that carp doesn't help.
Question Author
09:59, you say "potty" but offer no alternative.
No way would I vote for Truss. She's a local MP and she's rubbish and weak. I'm not a member of any party and remain disgusted at the way Boris was treated. Seriously worried now about the future of the UK if she wins. Not keen on Sumak either.
Tory Party Membership: Most Tory MPs want Sunak, so let's vote for Truss ...
Think the centrist Party idea has been tried, and tried, and tried and tried...
Question Author
it's not entirely contrarian, the party are angry at the way Boris was treated and Sunak is seen as the main backstabber so there is a strong ABR tendency in the party.
I agree - those who could do it are too darned afraid of losing their seats if they break away. It would take a large number to risk it.
In other words, I agree with Naomi - The whole thing is a farce. The whole system needs changing. There are no credible parties. I'm ashamed of the whole situation.

Question Author
The centrist party is the Lib Non Dems, they are there if the electorate wants them. Clearly they do not.
