Allegedly. But it is the Evening Standard so probably more sour grapes from George.

Maybe your wet dream, but not for the more responsible folk.

Meanwhile the issue may not be fully done.

You mean the small percentage of octogenarians anongst the 160,000 Werthers Warriors?
Most of them still think we’re fighting Hitler! PMSL

As for the link you provided, have you read the vast majority of comments on it?
I’ll give you a flavour:

Boris was commandeering the death of the Party. Why members would want him back is amazing to me other than to say they represent a wing of the Party perfectly satisfied with the immigration crises, domination by Europe IN SPITE OF Brexit, lockdowns and mandates, as well as literally sacrificing both eating AND heating in order to secure Ukraine's position in its war with Russia. Boris has given the U.K. ALL these things and still an apparently significant number want him back?! I can understand an elite minority who BENEFIT from the above waging a campaign to give the APPEARANCE of widespread support for his rehabilitation (or resuscitation, or whathaveyou), but the prospect of membership-wide support only fills me with sadness--and dread!

He's had his chance and chuffed it up. He wouldn't change so why would they want him back unless Truss and her proposed new front bench has them running scared. They are really doing their best to lose the next election. It bloody well stinks.

I think we should give Liz Truss a chance, I don’t trust Boris he told too many untruths in his tenure.

They are having a joke surely, the government is a standing joke (and not in a good way) at the moment but after all this to try and bring Doris back as PM, in my opinion it would completely destroy the conservative party in the eyes of the voters.

….and that’s just Tories!
Put the wet dream to bed Old Geezer, it’s not gonna happen, despite your prayers and wishes.

The commentators were likely not part of the Tory membership as the polls show great support for Boris amongst them. So your flavour of the comments is hardly relevant.

Ah, so they have to be Tory MEMBERS to have a relevance, not just Tory voters or supporters?
Either way, it’s been rubbished……by Tories.
i agree that boris johnson will eventually try again and probably win the tory leadership… whether that happens at a time when they are out of office is difficult to say… i would very much like the tories to lose the next election but i am not optimistic that they will
Maybe one of the political parties should utilise the new donate button.
Just to see if it changes anything here.
The Tories have missed an opportunity.
They correctly detected the Boris was a liability, and their prospects were better without him.
But the problem wasn’t just the leader, it was the whole shitshow. Truss will not turn things around because she won’t change anything.
Yes, it has to be members. That is what the whole point was about. Of course anyone outside of the party doesn't have any say as to who leads it. Surprised you think they might.
There's no chance of a Johnson return. But if there was, would he even want to? I can't see it myself.
Boris probably has more important things (to him) to be getting on with than leading the country.

Exactly. He left office for lying about knowing about the habits and behaviour of a predatory sex pest, a fact not lost amongst the females in the HoC. His previous character and behaviour have been borne out on the public stage as PM, the public finally got to see the true character of the person.
It was always going to end one of two ways: caught out over adultery or caught out lying, that sums up his whole life, literally.
He won’t be back, wouldn’t be content with a bit part anyway and will cease being an MP before the end of 2024.
End of.
I see him doing lucrative speaking tours, journalism and entertaining the house of Lords with 'hilarious' debate contributions.
All much more his thing.
