Pure speculation but I believe his late arrival and early departure this morning are an indication of the very deep division still between himself and the rest of the family that will now only fester.
It’s a shame, after a shaky start as a young man the Army service he obviously enjoyed was the making of him and he became popular.
It’s all gone pear-shaped since he met his wife and it looks as though even the death of the Queen can’t heal the rift and bring the two of them back into the fold. But then I guess it’s a reflection of what tens of thousands of other families go through, the Royals are no different in that respect.
