//Crikey - there’s serious speculation about Johnson.
That’d give Fatticus and his mate Gulliver material forever.
Personally, I don’t have the faintest idea who it should be - it’s become an absolute farce.//
Nothing serious about it, all the journos etc know he is far too divisive even now. Their credibility is unbelievably low, it’ll plunge to absolute zero if he’s even on the list.

This time last year (during the Conservative Party conference0 the talk was of Boris leading the party (Tories, not birthday knees up) for another decade. If he can win MPs over, which won't be easy...it'll be the biggest political comeback ever.
Literally anything could happen right now.
But what if he comes back and he's still 'Boris-y'? We can't have yet another leadership contest.

//Fatt: You may want to reflect on the fact that you are not the British people. As for Mordaunt, she's a proven liar and wouldn't last a day.//
Indeed I’m not…..but maybe you’d like to take a look around at all the polls etc and gauge the mood of the public?
As for Mordaunt I’ve no idea if she is a liar or not, your words not mine.
I said Tugendhat was the best candidate months ago because he would have gone 180 degrees in the opposite direction to Johnson.
Had their chance and they blew it, now it’s utter chaos and farce.

//Hopefully someone somewhere will see sense and put the country above petty spite. It’ll be the first time for a while.//
Absolutely! Not the bankers, not the hedge fund managers, not the oil/energy company CEO’s and not the 1% mega-rich.
I wonder who could have a crack at that with honesty and credibility?

The Beep Beep See is taking is serious ... they are already in panic mode and conducting a "get your retaliation in first" session. They know that if Boris gets a chance then they are looking for advertisement revenue instead of spending £millions of our money bigging themselves up with no one asking who sanctions the self promotion.
I don't think the men in grey suits will organise the rules for choosing the new leader in such a way that Johnson has a real chance of winning. Despite the wishes of his old fans, I think that they know him better than us, and that they don't want an even bigger disaster. Just my opinions, of course.
Boris is 5/1 he started at 20/1
