This figure was plucked out of the air this afternoon and is in contrast to the 20 votes that were a threshold in the summer dance. A maximum of 3 candidates could run if they get the requisite 100 nods from the 357 sitting Conservative MPs. Nominations to be put to a vote must be lodged by 2pm Monday 23rd to enter the hat. Who is going to nominate Boris? Everyone on the party? If it had been 120 "votes", as has been idiotically suggested, then only Boris could have been elected because no one else in the ranks could garner any such support. It will be an interesting weekend then.

Kemi Badenoch or Penny Mordaunt would be the candidates Keir Starmer would fear most. Either would make an excellent PM. The moment has passed for Boris and Rishi. But who knows who the Tories will choose. Shame Jeremy Hunt isn't running, he'll be hoping to keep that job as Chancellor, whoever becomes the next leader.

At the last leadership election, these were Sunak's votes at the latter stages.
3rd ballot 115
4th ballot 118
5th ballot 137
Do you think it was an idiotic suggestion still?
