Usually those folk that have had a brush with death, discover the vulnerabilities of being human.

As a consequence they mellow and their sympathies become more widely extended.

Sadly this is not the case here.

Zebu. Yes I have been close to death and not just once. But I didn't get a choice. It was out of my hands. I am sorry that some in the boat died. I wouldn't wish that. But I can't have sympathy for those who take enormous risks and know that they could be en, nearly losing my dangering others who may well lose their lives rescuing them. They ?weren't in danger in the EU. They had no reason to take those chances. Nearly losing my life hasn't altered my views.

Of course I would have sympathy for children. What age were these children? So many of so called children entering illegally are strapping young males!!
