The whole point of this post seems to be to criticise the users that frequent the News Section. Funnily enough I have never seen a similar posts from members of the News section criticising the CB section. Maybe think on who is being the nasty ones in this case, just suggesting live and let live, and avoid people and Sections you don't enjoy reading.

Thing is, some of us used to like going into other sections. It used to be possible to join in the debates, which were just that. Things that happen in the world are rarely straightforward yet we have a few posters who monopolize threads with continued regurgitation of their diametrically opposed views they don't respond with respect for others who may challenge their position, even with reasoned and considered rebuttals. It's the tactics of the playground rather than the debating hall.

I've never been a huge contributer to the news section. But I used to be able to actually read it without the frustration I've experienced over the past 3 years or so. Every thread will quickly descend into the usual level of name calling and petty squabbles. It's even happened here, which I'm sure was never intended by MissT. And the most recent and low remarks have come from a certain poster who seems to have the OP in his sights. Really cheap shots...we should all aim to be better than that.
