I'v got to admit to a bias against Jeremy Clarkson; I class him as the man who wrecked Top Gear which, until he took control, was a serious motoring programme iving useful advice on driving and new cars He turned it into his version of a comedy programme.

I don't think Raymond Baxter presented Top Gear, Ikky. Looking it up, it seems the first episodes were presented by Angela Rippon and Tom Coyne. You're not getting confused with "Tomorrow's World" perhaps?
