I can't find that anyone else has posted this, wasn't it only yesterday someone on here said terrorism in Northern Ireland was a thing of the past? How can this still be considered the right way to solve problems in this day and age? OK I know it's not proved as terrorism..yet

Utterly barbaric and it happenned in front of children. Somebody must know the names of those responsible. Give the names to the police

They have arrested and holding 4 people to date.

I think it's five now, Helen. NRIA was suspected from the beginning so I guess the names were well known already as it is just what they vowed to do when they broke away.

John Caldwell is just the sort of man they pledged to go after.

I fear for others in the public eye as he was.

You are correct in all counts.
Those that witnessed it gave as much as they could (men wearing masks and dark clothing)
The intimidation that these groups carry out is quite frankly terrifying

It is terrifying, Helen. I dread to think how far they will go.
If they are not stopped they will destroy all the good that has happened in NI of late.
I don't know how connected they are to RIRA but between them they are dangerous.
I just hope the intelligence on them both is enough to keep them contained but it certainly didn't help John Caldwell. I wish him well but it's not looking very good.

Late catching up with news, Helen. Just read that the 22 year old arrested is the chair of Tyrone's Saoradh and related to a dissident in jail on terror charges.
The sooner they are all in jail the better.

It seems that the NIRA was responsible in a statement from them which is both sickening and worrying for the future of peace in NI.

They claim to now have information on Crown Force Personnel and have issued a warning to them.

Looking at the age range of the six detained men they are breeding more evil.

I haven't been this worried about or scared for the those in the North as I am today. :-(

I can imagine it is, Helen. Made my skin crawl when I read their statement.
I have a detective friend who was sent to do some investigation into the disappeared. He and his wife love NI so much they stayed on.
I hope they stay safe.
