Having not posted on Brexit of late, and to ensure TTT is not suffering withdraw symptoms, here is an update on the disaster that keeps on giving.
When Daily Express readers acknowledge what a disaster Brexit is, you can be sure it is a disaster.
Interestingly one Daily Express reader said ‘Of course Brexit is a failure, it only takes someone with a fraction of a brain to observe the damage it has caused to our economy and the havoc it has played with our businesses – the lifeblood of our nation.’
Unhappy with a Yougov survey which showed those thinking the UK was right to leave the EU at its lowest level of 31%; the Express ran its own poll amongst its readers only to find 62% responded that Brexit had been a failure and only 29% a success.
Some may ask why I’m continuing to post on AB what a disaster Brexit is – based on the replies to my posts, many ABers are of the opinion that Brexit is a fantastic success for the UK – they are wrong.
“ Untitled, perhaps you would like to lay out the thinking of a remainer.”
the uk was not “ruled” by the EU… the uk government decided
public spending, had its own foreign policy and decided its own electoral system… we retained our own currency and control of it it voluntarily shared the same immigration policy with other EU members and was able to stop doing that at will… the “supremacy of eu law” which brexiters pretend to feel oppressed by is primarily for the purpose of resolving disputes
so fundamentally i think it is an idiotic simplification to say that the UK was “ruled by Brussels” and i think it was manufactured for political purposes…
i appreciate you will not agree with what i have written but it is not treachery to believe these things… i also think you actually know that in your heart but like many brexiters you have dug your heels in to an uncompromising identity and will never ever admit it because you lack moral courage
togo approvingly commented that william joyce was executed for treason and made a point of saying that he thought there was no difference between joyce and hymie… the suggestion seems pretty clear to me
“ Haw Haw was executed as a traitor for his incessant broadcast of nazi propaganda and taunts from what he thought was a safe position. I see no difference, in substance, in the almost daily outpourings of Brussels propaganda, and denigration of all things British by our possessed poster and the misplaced bile of Haw Haw. That must make him treacherous by default.”
Untitled 12:52 It is refreshing to have it explained like that rather than the usual project fear outpourings and name calling so thanks for that. However if any one is lacking moral courage then it's you and fellow remainers. Have the courage to get on board and make it work instead of talking the country down all the time, sniping and sneering N times a day. We are out and it's irreversible so lets make it work.

This sounds like something Gary Lineker would have said LOL
If we must rely on cant and projection when failing to express ourselves I would note that most people who are sentenced to death are tried by jury and judged afterwards. We in Britain long ago stopped killing people or allowing narrow minded fanatics like yourself from deciding someone's fate.
what is exactly was your point in saying that you "saw no difference" between hymie and lord haw haw and noting with approval that william joyce was executed?
perhaps people should be more careful throwing around words like "treachery" if they are going to clutch their pearls and gasp when someone points out the obvious implication!
"Have the courage to get on board and make it work instead of talking the country down all the time, sniping and sneering N times a day. We are out and it's irreversible so lets make it work."
oh i have long accepted that brexit is irreversible...
believe it or not toratoratora i actually like britain very much... i tend to reserve my talking down for the tories ;)
Untitled, you’re the only one clutching at pearls - or rather straws - and yes, you may ask. You’ve falsely accused another member of saying something quite appalling and you’ve been told that is unacceptable. Now please move on.
Resorting to Tora x3 accusations of traitor to anyone who disagrees with you is lazy and inaccurate.
5C, Quislings, Joyce and traitors bandied about all the time is very embarrassing for those throwing those insults.
