I decided against ever donating to Oxfam after revelations over the last few years.
This surely confirms I was right.

Woke, leftists, bigots. Their time of public approval is diminishing, rightly so.
Difficult to see how any of that fits in with the fight against global poverty
Now that Africans are no longer starving, I guess they have moved on.
I never give to big charities. Always the small local ones.

I gave up giving to big charities many, many years ago, over 40 years ago I think. Like dave50 I concentrate on small local ones where everything I give is used positively e.g. food for the local food bank. It is collected by someone in the village, taken straight there and is distributed. Other charity donations are also equally direct and transparent.
I volunteer for Oxfam and have done so for over 15 years. I enjoy my work and we have a very good little bookshop.

But Oxfam as a big charity seems to be managed by people who have got no clue about anything.

They should stay out of politics and start finding ways to direct traffic to their website, we sell online as do other charities. Not many people know this.

I've bought lots of DVDs on your prompting, wolf, have a gold star for salespersonship.
Their sales are rather good!
I've given up on 'woke' charities.
I no longer give to big charities, nothing to do with 'woke' but more that the money doesn't get where I want it to go. i.e. not the CEO's pocket.

As said above there are plenty of local charities that service far better.

Perhaps the only exception wold be the Salvation Army.
