Boris Johnson Resigns
Answers
Good. He can do what he likes now. As long as he stays away from public office I wish him well. If he shows up at the house of Lords to take taxpayers money for making jovial speeches I'll start to dislike him again.

dave, //All this because he might have bent the stupid covid rules a bit on his birthday. //
It's not really about that at all. It's about Brexit and that's all it's about. He had, against the wishes of the lily-livered, duplicitous, Members of Parliament, the temerity to respect the outcome of a democratic vote - and that is all it's about.

It’s hard to have any respect for Johnson when you read his resignation letter.
His resignation honours list also IMO should be declared null and void although I doubt that will happen.
Instead he should do his “resignation as a MP” honours list.
He inveighs against the committee but it was a process he himself approved!
Yesterday was not a good day for UK politics, the Tories, but especially the man himself.

he lied to parliament about whether or not parties that had failed to observe social distancing took place with his knowledge in downing street during the covid lockdowns… he said no and knew that the answer was yes.
if he didn’t want this to happen then he ought not to have misled parliament. it is a patten of behaviour with him and i am delighted that such a person is no longer an MP… the fact that the conservatives chose him as their leader was a sign of what a cynical and irresponsible and frankly stupid group of people that party is. they believe in nothing… less than nothing.
