Good. He can do what he likes now. As long as he stays away from public office I wish him well. If he shows up at the house of Lords to take taxpayers money for making jovial speeches I'll start to dislike him again.

// How is [BREXIT] going pear shaped gromit? //

Surely you hoped for better than this? The benefits have been negligible. No one thinks it has been a success.
One is bad luck, two is misfortune and three is careless. I forgot the true saying.
3 by elections is not careless.

It is a concerted attack on Sunak’s leadership. From the Boris section of the Party. Self inflicted and very damaging.
Bobbisox1, as Bob Marley said "The greatness of a man is not in how much wealth he acquires but in his integrity and his ability to affect those around him positively."
Gromit: "Surely you hoped for better than this? The benefits have been negligible. No one thinks it has been a success." - well leaving aside the obvious fact that there is no way to evaluate brexit because of various crises that have obscured the remoaners obsession; Economics. As I and the judge have been saying for ever, we hoped to be out of the EUSSR that is the only thing we "hoped for" so I am 100% satisfied. What else is there?
Like counting how many children he has and how he can afford to have them looked after blah, blah, blah, that’s green envy imo
I wish him all the best for his future
bad sight day
Surely you hoped for better than this?
I this was :
Surely you groped better than this?

and I thought 'how very appropriate for a Boris thread'.

sozza - there is something wrong with me

“I have never heard of so called form of court where the Chairperson announced her verdict before the court ever sat. a disgrace to the home of parliamentary democracy.”

It’s not a court.
As I understand it Johnson was given the courtesy of advance notice of the findings of the committee and it was clear he’d be suspended for more than 10 days. This might have triggered a by-election: so he has left Parliament of his own accord while complaining he’s being hounded out.
All this is disastrous for the Conservative Party which appears to be descending into civil war over the personality of one man when they should be directing themselves to governing and targeting the opposition.
They’ll be heavily punished, you feel, by the majority of voters who are less interested in Johnson’s career but just see rats in a sack savaging each other.
