Almost any political party running the country would be better that the current Tory government – but should the next government prove to be similarly corrupt and incompetent, you can bet I’ll be calling out that corruption and incompetence; rather than pretending it does not exist (like the current Tory faithful on AB).
"* most of the people * How many ?"

137...
OK...even if its a stronger brexit party
Question Author
I did say ‘almost any’, but if the democratic will of the electorate was to have a stronger Brexit party in power; since their fundamental policies would be to the detriment of the UK – they would fall under the remit of incompetence.
Democracy doesn’t matter to you then, hymie?
Of course it does Naomi, as long as the "correct" result is given. I bet he's a Lib Non dem.
I’m no fan of Johnson, but without question he’s been the subject of a witch hunt, and not only is that wrong, it’s also unfair.

I’d hold the same opinion if the jackals were after SKS.
Question Author
Of course democracy matters to me – but democracy should never stop anyone pointing out how stupid government policy is.

If you are blindly willing to accept the policies of the political party you support, you’ll probably end up with something like the current Tory government.
Democracy very clearly doesn’t matter to you, hymie, because you don’t accept it.
This is all Tory infighting, nothing to do with Hymie ... it's like a nursery rhyme.

Boris puts the record straight,
Record straight,
Record straight,
Boris puts the record straight,
He's having a huff.

Rishi puts it off again,
Off again,
Off again,
Rishi puts it off again,
He's had enough.

Are you claiming that the electorate knowingly voted for a corrupt and incompetent government?
You’re swerving, Hymie. No surprise. Perhaps you’d be happier living under a dictator - as long as he agreed with you.
Question Author
No, I just want a government that is not corrupt or incompetent – is that too much to ask?
ok, know we all know what you want, (its been noted and filed away) please go away and leave the board alone...
Question Author
Clearly it is.
hymie: " I just want a government that is not corrupt or incompetent – is that too much to ask? " - not too much to ask but most of your posts are about brexit, why do you not accept the democratic decision of the nation?
Hymie, you mean you would like a government that would have ignored the result of the referendum. You need to decide what corruption is because I really don't think you know.
Can we have a rest from this 'democratic will of the people' nonsense?
Would you prefer to live in a country ruled by a dictator, JDavis?
he misled parliament and he did it on purpose. just like he misled the queen, just like he misled michael howard, just like he misled max hastings… etc.

that’s the trouble with the lie that this is all about brexit really… it is a wider pattern of behaviour with johnson that his admirers choose to ignore or downplay. but the snag is that there are rules about lying in parliament and he broke them… he will never admit it because he still has political ambitions and they would be killed if he did admit it, so he resorts instead to another bigger lie - “they are all after me because of brexit”

johnson’s allies need to look themselves in the mirror and think about the kind of person their hero actually is… and ask why are they really so loyal to him?
